February 2020

Year 1 children took part in ‘Paddington’s Space Mission’ inspiration day. The children made NASA space badges and rockets ready to take off to the moon. We took off in our rockets and watched the first moon landing by Neil Armstrong. Once we were safely on the moon, we listened and followed instructions to create a moon dance. We also created our own aliens using handprints. After a busy day we listened to the story ‘Whatever Next’ and had our own space picnic on the moon before coming back to Earth. I think the children will all agree that it was an enjoyable day and were left feeling inspired for our learning this term.
