Day 2 Breakfast,Trip Evaluation and Bed Making!
The children began the morning with a warm breakfast, chatting happily about the day ahead. After eating, we spent some time thinking about how the trip had been so far. The children shared what they had enjoyed, what they had found challenging, and the moments that made them proud. It was a lovely chance to reflect together. Next, the children learnt how to make their own beds. They worked carefully to pull the sheets tight and smooth out the blankets. Some found it tricky at first, but they kept trying and were very pleased when their beds looked neat. It was a great moment of independence for everyone.

Musical Trail and Feeding Sheep
The children then followed a musical trail, listening carefully to different sounds and clues along the way. They enjoyed exploring the area and working together to find each stop. Afterwards, they had the chance to feed the sheep, which was a highlight for many. The children were gentle and excited as the sheep came close to eat from their hands.

Clay Making
During the clay session, the children used their hands to shape and mould their own creations. They experimented with different textures and patterns, and each child made something unique. It was a calm, creative activity that allowed them to express their ideas in a hands‑on way.
Potion Making with Environmental Features
The children had a wonderful time making their own nature potions using different environmental features. They collected leaves, petals, sticks and stones, then mixed them together to create imaginative mixtures. As they worked, they talked about the colours, textures and smells of the natural items they found. The activity encouraged creativity and helped the children explore the environment in a hands‑on, playful way.

Petting and Feeding Animals
To finish the day, the children spent time petting and feeding a range of animals. They were gentle and caring as they stroked the animals and learnt about how to look after them. Many children said this was their favourite part of the day because they loved being close to the animals.

Arriving and Starting the Day!
When we arrived, the children were excited to unpack their things and find out what the day would bring. They settled in quickly, chatted with their friends, and got ready for the adventures ahead. Everyone was eager to see what activities they would be doing.

High Ropes, Adventure Wall, Rock Climbing
& Zip Line
The children had an amazing time on the high ropes and adventure wall. They showed great bravery as they climbed the rock wall and tried the zip line. Some children felt a little nervous at first, but they didn’t give up and were so proud of themselves when they reached the top or zoomed down the line.

Lunchtime
At lunchtime, the children enjoyed sitting together and trying new foods. Many of them tasted things they hadn’t eaten before, and they chatted happily about their morning adventures. It was a lovely chance for everyone to relax and refuel.
Geography Focus: Map Reading & Habitats
In geography, the children worked on using co‑ordinates and reading maps. They searched for different animals and their habitats, using clues to help them find the right places. Once they found them, they matched each animal to where it lived, showing great teamwork and problem‑solving.
History Focus: Air Raid Shelter
In history, the children learned about what an air raid shelter was and why people used them in the past. They asked thoughtful questions and were fascinated by how different life was during that time. They enjoyed exploring how people kept safe and what the shelters were like inside.

Free Time
During free time, the children made new friends and played together outside. Some played football, others created their own dances, and a few enjoyed quieter games. It was wonderful to see them using their imaginations and including everyone.
