Goldthorn Voice
Goldthorn Voice is represented by our Ambassadors across school. This includes School Council, Reading Champions, Maths Ambassadors, Welcome Committee, Young Interpreters, Sports leaders and Digital leaders.
Meet our School Councillors
They listen to suggestions and ideas that are of importance to their peers and the good of the school. We have an active School Council which comprises of representatives from Year 1 to Year 6. They are elected annually by their classmates.
School councillors work together within their team and form links with their class, year group, staff, whole school and community to enhance, make changes or support fundraising events.

Goldthorn Park School Council is a group of pupils that represent the voice of all pupils.
Their suggestions make a positive contribution to the school's continual development.
School Council is led by Miss A Richards.
Meet our Welcoming Committee

Our Welcoming Committee helps new children and families feel
at home in our school community. They provide
a warm welcome and
share helpful
information.
The role develops confidence, communication skills, empathy,
and leadership.
Meet our Play Leaders
At Goldthorn, Play Leaders are specially chosen children from Key Stage 2 who help make playtimes more fun, inclusive, and safe for everyone.
Our Play Leaders take on the important role of supporting younger children during break and lunch times. They organise games, help solve small problems, and encourage everyone to join in so that no one feels left out. With training in teamwork and basic leadership skills, they learn how to be good role models and show kindness and responsibility in everything they do.

Being a Play Leader helps children develop confidence, communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility – all while having fun and making a positive difference to our school community.

Meet our Young Interpreters
Our Young Interpreters are caring and confident pupils who help new children settle into school – especially those who are learning English as an additional language.

They play an important role in helping new pupils feel welcome, included, and understood during the school day.

This role builds empathy, leadership, and communication skills, and celebrates the value of language and cultural diversity in our school community.
