Daily Mile Track Launch
Our school playground was buzzing with excitement as our new Daily Mile track was officially launched by representatives from the London Marathon Foundation. Children spent the morning enthusiastically using the track, walking, jogging and running alongside their classmates. The event celebrated the importance of daily physical activity, with pupils showing great energy, determination and enjoyment throughout the morning. Tabletop Cricket Excitement
A lively and enthusiastic group of children took part in a 'tabletop cricket' game this morning, organised by Staffordshire Cricket Club. We gathered around a specially designed tabletop cricket 'pitch', and worked in a small team, taking turns to bat, bowl and field using the scaled‑down equipment. Year 5 Discover Table Cricket
Year 5 had the opportunity to play Table Cricket with Staffordshire Cricket. Table Cricket is an adapted, miniature version of cricket played on a table tennis table allowing children to experience the sport with modified equipment like ramps for bowling and scoring zones, promoting teamwork and skill development . It's a fun, inclusive game, accessible for both seated and standing players.


Goldthorn's 6–1 Victory!
Goldthorn Park completed their second football game of the season competing against a competitive Springvale side. Goldthorn once again started the game brightly but found themselves 1-0 down after the first 10 minutes. Just before halftime Goldthorn managed to pull a goal back making it 1-1 at half time. During the second half Goldthorn dug in deep using grit and determination alongside teamwork to find themselves 6-1 up. We are so proud of what the boys achieved bringing 3


Team Spirit Shines in Exciting First Fixture
Our football team played their first competitive match of the 2025–2026 season, against Parkfield Primary. We showed real grit and determination to equalise before a last-minute goal from the opposition ended the game 2–1. We are so proud of their effort and teamwork!


Chance to Shine: Year 2–6 Pupils Learn Cricket and Life Skills!
Children from Year 2 to Year 6 took part in The ‘ Chance to Shine’ programme. This provides children with an introduction to cricket while developing life skills like teamwork and communication.
