Together we learn, lead and grow

Welcome to Goldthorn Park Primary School

Welcome to Goldthorn Park Primary School, a warm, inclusive and ambitious community where every child is celebrated, valued and supported to be their very best. We are proud to be a school where belonging, achieving and thriving are at the heart of all that we do.

Our ethos is brought to life through our core values of Growth, Optimism, Leadership, Determination, Excellence and Nurture. These values guide our daily practice and shape the experiences we provide for our children. We believe in a culture of growth, where learning is celebrated and challenges are embraced. Through optimism, we encourage positive attitudes and high aspirations for the future. We develop leadership in every child, helping them to use their voice, show responsibility and make a difference. With determination, our children learn resilience and perseverance, supported to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. We strive for excellence in learning, behaviour and care, and we place nurture at the centre of our school, ensuring that every child feels safe, supported and ready to learn.

Our simple school rules — Ready, Respectful and Safe — underpin daily life at Goldthorn Park. They help to create a calm, positive and purposeful environment where children feel confident, secure and able to succeed. By being ready to learn, respectful to others and safe in all that they do, our pupils develop the attitudes and behaviours that enable them to flourish both in school and beyond.

At Goldthorn Park, we work in close partnership with families and the wider community to create a happy, inspiring environment where children develop confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. Together, we ensure that every child belongs, achieves and thrives.

“Goldthorn Park Primary School is a community to be proud of. Our pupils inspire us daily with their curiosity and resilience, our families work in close partnership with us, and our dedicated staff give their very best to ensure every child feels supported, challenged and nurtured.”

Parent Feedback

“The school does so well with a culturally diverse population and migrant families, this needs more recognition. As a result of excellent support my eldest is off to grammar school and every teacher who has taught her at the school allowed this to happen by using her strengths/ praise model. This is a unique community school who cares about working families including single parent’s needs.”
