Changing lives through a love of books and reading
Children at Goldthorn LOVE to read and there is no better way to celebrate than on World Book Day.
This year’s theme for the day was ‘Reading for Pleasure.’ The teachers had been busy planning lots of reading themed activities for the children to complete and it was a day filled with lots of exciting, celebratory ways to promote reading for pleasure.
Children were encouraged to wear their favourite pyjamas to school and bring in one of their favourite story books. They loved having 'Class swaps' where a teacher from another classroom shared their favorite story.
