We discussed the people, places and experiences that fill us with curiosity and amazement before expressing our ideas through poetry. Year 5 and 6 went on an amazing trip to the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton to see the famous author and poet, Michael Rosen. Whilst there, we had the privilege of seeing him perform some of his best poems live on stage. Michael is most famous for his book, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.” During the show, the children were encouraged to join in with Michael’s funny and exciting poems. Our Year 5/6 Choir had an incredible time singing and dancing at the Singing in the Halls event this year at the Civic Halls. Singing a range of songs from Queen, Panic at the Disco, Taylor Swift, Myles Swift, A-ha, The Script, Tina Turner and Ben E. King the children gave a sterling performance and represented our school wonderfully. Year 6 had a wonderful, fun-filled day today!
