Inspiring Futures: Our First Careers Fair!

Goldthorn Park hosted our first ever Career’s Fair for our Year 5 and 6 children. We had guests who represented different jobs and careers in school, to help our children understand how school skills connect to real life and to build curiosity and confidence about their future. We had members of the police and fire service, a make up artist, caterers, a salesperson, an NHS worker, a RSPCA officer, and a worker from the charity sector.

Our children asked really insightful questions to our guests about their jobs, what they involve and the training they needed to get where they are. We had a fabulous afternoon thinking about the world of work and building aspirations for our futures!
