Fun at Darts Club
Our children have been thoroughly enjoying taking part in Darts Club this term. The club provides a fantastic opportunity for pupils to develop their concentration, coordination and accuracy while having fun with their friends. Year 6 Fun!
Year 6 had a wonderful, fun-filled day today! The children greatly enjoyed taking part in our exciting circus workshop, where they had the chance to learn new skills, practise balancing, juggling, and build their confidence. National Walk to School Week

Year 3 Dance Lessons
As part of our continued focus on enhancing PE opportunities, following feedback from parents in the Summer 2025 parent survey, Year 3 have been very fortunate to begin a series of dance lessons led by a specialist from Our Lady and St Chad’s, which will run over four weeks. Year 5 Shine in Dance Leadership Workshop
Some of our Year 5 children took part in a Dance Leadership Workshop at Our Lady and St Chads, designed to develop their confidence, teamwork, and communication skills through movement. During the workshop, children learned how to lead dance activities, create routines, and support their peers in trying new moves. Daily Mile Track Launch

Tabletop Cricket Excitement
A lively and enthusiastic group of children took part in a 'tabletop cricket' game this morning, organised by Staffordshire Cricket Club. We gathered around a specially designed tabletop cricket 'pitch', and worked in a small team, taking turns to bat, bowl and field using the scaled‑down equipment. Snowstorms, Bear Hunts & Sensory Adventures in Reception!
We have had an indoor weather sensory walk, a Physical Development bear hunt and enjoyed so many painting opportunities. We really enjoyed walking through our 'snowstorm tuff tray' with ice, paint and water to create a snowy footprint walk.

Year 5 Discover Table Cricket
Year 5 had the opportunity to play Table Cricket with Staffordshire Cricket. Table Cricket is an adapted, miniature version of cricket played on a table tennis table allowing children to experience the sport with modified equipment like ramps for bowling and scoring zones, promoting teamwork and skill development . It's a fun, inclusive game, accessible for both seated and standing players.

Santa Dash 2025!
Goldthorn Park children embraced the Daily Mile today! With smiles on their faces and energy in their stride, they proved that a short burst of activity can make a big difference. Goldthorn's 6–1 Victory!
Goldthorn Park completed their second football game of the season competing against a competitive Springvale side. Goldthorn once again started the game brightly but found themselves 1-0 down after the first 10 minutes. Just before halftime Goldthorn managed to pull a goal back making it 1-1 at half time. During the second half Goldthorn dug in deep using grit and determination alongside teamwork to find themselves 6-1 up. We are so proud of what the boys achieved bringing 3

Team Spirit Shines in Exciting First Fixture
Our football team played their first competitive match of the 2025–2026 season, against Parkfield Primary. We showed real grit and determination to equalise before a last-minute goal from the opposition ended the game 2–1. We are so proud of their effort and teamwork!

Chance to Shine: Year 2–6 Pupils Learn Cricket and Life Skills!
Children from Year 2 to Year 6 took part in The ‘ Chance to Shine’ programme. This provides children with an introduction to cricket while developing life skills like teamwork and communication.
