Rainforest Roadshow Brings Learning to Life

Marvellous Maps!
Nursery The children had a wonderful time during a treasure hunt in Nursery’s forest, searching high and low to discover the hidden treasure. Year 2 Fieldwork
Our Year 2 children had a fantastic time exploring the area around school as part of their geography fieldwork. Working in small groups, they followed a map to spot different physical and human features in the environment. Along the way, they also investigated where local animals live and discussed how our actions can help – or harm – their habitats. It was a brilliant hands‑on learning experience that brought their geography and science topics to life!

Spotting Birds with the RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch!
Twelve Year 3 and 4 children took part in the RSPB Big Schools' Birdwatch with Mr Pryce. We spent 1 hour counting the birds that we could see around our school and we managed a total of 9 different species in that time. By the end, the children were becoming quite skilled and could identify Magpies and Blue Tits as well as see that there were different types of Gulls using our school field. Year 4’s Dudley Canal Adventure
What a wonderful day Year 4 had today visiting Dudley Canal and caverns! The children were tremendously well behaved, and listened attentively. They learnt about the Industrial revolution, the importance of our canal network for trade, took part in a boat ride inside the caverns, undertook workshops, visited a museum on board a boat, and learnt about water safety.

Year 6 Step Back in Time!
Last week, our Year 6 pupils enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Blists Hill Victorian Town as part of their history learning. The children spent the day exploring what life was really like in the Victorian era and were amazed at how different it was from today!
