Year 3’s Hands-On Learning!

As part of Year 3's new English core text, Gregory Cool children took part in a variety of hands-on, interactive activities to explore, share ideas, and make predictions. They engaged in a carousel of activities, including:

* Retrieving information by answering quiz-style questions.

* Developing vocabulary by matching images to definitions and writing sentences using the new words.

* Sorting clothing, footwear, and accessories according to what would be suitable for Tobago

* Researching using atlases, maps, magnifying glasses, and iPads to discover the location of Tobago in relation to the UK.

* Tasting a variety of exotic fruits and using descriptive vocabulary to explain their taste, as well as sharing whether they liked them or not.

Throughout these activities, children practiced using new words in context and made connections between the tasks and the story they would explore in the book.
