Inspiring Futures: Our First Careers Fair!
Goldthorn Park hosted our first ever Career’s Fair for our Year 5 and 6 children. CO Crew Visit Year 2 and Year 5

PCSO visit to Year 4 and 5
Our local Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) visited Year 4 and Year 5 children to help them understand the importance of good behaviour and the consequences of anti-social actions. Year 5 Shine in Dance Leadership Workshop
Some of our Year 5 children took part in a Dance Leadership Workshop at Our Lady and St Chads, designed to develop their confidence, teamwork, and communication skills through movement. During the workshop, children learned how to lead dance activities, create routines, and support their peers in trying new moves. Year 5 Discover Table Cricket
Year 5 had the opportunity to play Table Cricket with Staffordshire Cricket. Table Cricket is an adapted, miniature version of cricket played on a table tennis table allowing children to experience the sport with modified equipment like ramps for bowling and scoring zones, promoting teamwork and skill development . Year 5 Step Back in Time with a Roman Historian
Today, Year 5 were delighted to welcome a Roman historian- Professor McGinty’s. The children learnt about Roman clothing, culture, architecture, daily life, and even unusual foods. During the visit the children handled real artefacts from Roman times, which really brought history to life.

Team Spirit Shines in Exciting First Fixture
Our football team played their first competitive match of the 2025–2026 season, against Parkfield Primary. We showed real grit and determination to equalise before a last-minute goal from the opposition ended the game 2–1. We are so proud of their effort and teamwork!

Year 5 Choir Performance
Year 5 choir members took part in our annual singing event at St Barts Church. They sung a variety of songs - some tricky, but certainly rose to the challenge! The song by ABBA - 'Thank you for the music' really showcased their voices! They took part in a concert for the parents in the evening too, and thoroughly enjoyed performing in a church! A Day of Light, Colour, and Joy: Our Diwali Celebration
Our school was filled with colour, music, and excitement as we celebrated Diwali – the Festival of Lights!
