The children had an amazing time learning all about the Sikh festival of Vaisakhi today. They took part in a special assembly led by a spiritual visitor, who showed them a range of Sikh artefacts such as the
sword (kirpan) and kara, helping to deepen their understanding in a meaningful way.
After this, the children enjoyed some downtime where they got creative, making Vaisakhi cards for their
friends and family. It was lovely to see their thoughtful designs and messages.
To finish the day, the children watched an engaging video about Vaisakhi by Basics of Sikhi, which
helped to reinforce their learning.
We also loved seeing the children dressed in their beautiful clothes, including royal blue, orange, and traditional outfits – they looked fantastic!
It has been a wonderful and enriching day for everyone.
