Earth Day 2026

🌍 Earth Day – Wednesday 22nd April 2026 🌍

Earth Day is a special day that reminds us all to care for our planet and our school environment.

Our School Council did a fantastic job of presenting an assembly to help children understand how small actions can make a big difference.

The children shared lots of simple ideas that we can all try at school and at home, including:

♻️ Recycle and reduce waste – use the correct bins and try not to waste food

💡 Save energy – turn off lights, screens and computers when they are not needed

🚿 Save water – make sure taps are turned off properly and only use what we need

🌱 Care for nature – look after plants and wildlife and stick to pathways

🚶‍♀️ Eco‑friendly travel – walking, scootering or cycling to school helps reduce pollution

Lots of children got involved in our school wide litter pick! It was lovely to see so many children taking responsibility for our environment.

Together, we can make our school cleaner, greener and kinder to our planet 🌎
