Goldthorn Park Shines in Refugee Week Writing Competition

Thank you to all of the children that entered the 500 Word Writing competition launched by Wolverhampton City Council, in celebration of Refugee Week. The theme of this year’s competition was ‘Community as a Superpower’, and children were asked to submit a piece of writing that celebrated how communities can bring people together.

Special congratulations go to one of our Year 5 pupils, who was chosen by the competition judges to represent Goldthorn Park at a special ceremony at the Mayor’s Parlour in Wolverhampton.  The judges were so impressed with her  powerful piece.
