Prepared and Empowered: Year 6 Gets Ready for Secondary School

Our Year 6 pupils were visited by PCSO Shinton this week to support them with their upcoming transition to secondary school. The session focused on the theme of safety—helping children to feel confident and prepared as they take this important next step in their education.

The children had the opportunity to ask questions, share their worries, and take part in thoughtful discussions about real-life situations they may face. Together, they explored strategies for staying safe when travelling to and from school, being online, and managing new social situations.

It was a valuable and reassuring session, and we are proud of how mature and open our pupils were in expressing their thoughts. A huge thank you to PCSO Shinton for providing practical advice and helping to empower our Year 6 children as they get ready for the next chapter in their school journey.
