What a wonderful day we had visiting the Gurdwara!
The trip provided the children with a detailed and meaningful insight into Sikhism and helped them understand how a Gurdwara is run. They were incredibly respectful throughout and asked many thoughtful and well-considered questions, showing great curiosity and engagement.
One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity to sample some delicious Prashad in the langar hall. The children enjoyed experiencing this important Sikh tradition of sharing food together as a community.
It was truly lovely to see their enthusiasm and interest in learning about different faiths and cultures.
On our walk, the children also completed a geography task linked to our next topic. We explored our local area and spotted various human and physical features, with the children
showing great observation skills and confidence in their learning.
Well done, Year 3 — you were fantastic ambassadors for our school!
