Spring Term 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you like our new look newsletters. Our school has been bursting at the seams, filled with wonderful learning, stimulating experiences, exciting visitors into school and our Year 2 residential at Kingswood. Our pupils ALWAYS behave well with good manners and courtesy and we continue to recieve positive comments on our children's conduct - we are very proud!
A huge well done to our Year 2 pupils who went on residential to Kingswood this week. The children and staff all enjoyed the activities including den building, outdoor art inspired by nature and exploring the outside. A super experience for our Year 2 children and Year 6 are looking forward to their residential to Laches Wood next week.

Year 3 and Year 4 have enjoyed Humphs History workshops for Ancient Greeks and Anglo-Saxons. The children really enjoyed their learning and bringing history to life.
Big news this half term is that we have restocked our library and the children are beginning to visit and enjoy this space as an opportunity to read for the enjoyment of reading. We are working towards opening our library for our families and will share these plans in the near future.
We look forward to celebrating World Book Day next week with a day filled with activities designed to celebrate reading and children's literature together, further details to follow.
Happy Martisor! We have enjoyed exploring this Spring time celebration today across school. Please ask the children to share their learning with you about this traditional Romanian celebration.
Have a lovely weekend, we are beginning to see the signs of Spring.

Polling Day
School has been selected by City of Wolverhampton Council to be a polling station on Thursday 2nd May and so we will be closed to pupils. Year 6 pupils will be invited into school for a booster session during the morning in preparation for the upcoming SATs, more information to follow.
Parents Evenings Spring 2024
The children will be bringing parents evening letters home for Tuesday 19th March and Wednesday 20th March. Please indicate which session you would prefer and return to school where your child's class teacher will allocate you a time as close to your request as they can.
This is an important meeting with your child's teacher to discuss their progress since September and the next learning steps for next term.
MMR Vaccinations
Thank you to our parents who have returned consent forms for the MMR vaccination clinic being held on Tuesday 5th March at school. If your child has not had their vaccination for MMR and you have not recieved a consent form please contact your GP.
Medical updates
A reminder to parents to update school records where medical conditions are diagnosed so we can ensure the correct support is available in school. This includes asthma, epilepsy and allergies alongside other medical conditions which may require medical intervention and support.
