Children In Need 2025
Thank you to our School Council for organising a fantastic Children in Need day! They planned three exciting activities to help raise money for this amazing charity. Children and staff came dressed as superheroes or in something yellow or spotty. This year’s theme was ‘Challenge 25’, and throughout the week pupils were encouraged to take on a fun challenge linked to the number 25—such as doing 25 star jumps each day, reading for 25 minutes, completing 25 kind acts, or even wr

Remembrance Day
We have been learning about Remembrance and taking the time to reflect on sacrifices that were made by soldiers and those affected by war both past and present. We focused on the importance of peace, community and gratitude. We created our own poppies and laid them outside as a symbol of respect. We also created poppy artwork.

Bonfire Day!
Across school we have been learning about Bonfire Day and why it is a key Historical event in British History. We focused on Guy Fawkes and learnt about the Gunpowder Plot and why he is such a significant Historical figure. We added this to our class timelines to identify when in History this key event took place. We enjoyed then using this learning to create Bonfire pictures using different media. Year 3 children delved into an exciting extract from You Wouldn’t Want to Be

Year 6 Remembrance Day Assembly
Our Year 6 pupils led a moving Remembrance Day assembly to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who have served in conflicts past and present. Through readings and reflective performances, the children shared messages of peace, gratitude, and remembrance. Anti-Bullying Week 2025 – Kindness Agreements
As part of Anti-Bullying Week 2025, our children took part in thoughtful discussions about the importance of kindness, respect, and standing up for others. Each class created their own Kindness Agreements, setting out promises on how they will work together to make everyone feel valued, safe, and included. The children shared wonderful ideas about how small acts of kindness can make a big difference — showing that at our school, kindness really does matter every day. Use the

Odd Socks Day!

Lots of our language development comes from learning our nursery rhymes which makes it a very important part of our learning ☺️ We all came to school with our odd socks on Monday to show we are all different in special ways. We did lots of learning about how we are all special and how to be kind to each other 😃

A Magical Musical Journey with The Stringcredibles
We were very lucky to welcome The Stringcredibles — a quartet of world-class orchestral musicians — and Nate Holder, a professional saxophonist and award-winning author! Their incredible show, The Butterfly Lands , took us on a magical journey of migration, told through the metaphor of a butterfly. The story followed the butterfly’s travels across different islands, exploring music, language, faith, clothing, and food — and celebrating how diversity brings richness and beaut

Year 3 Stone Age Adventures!
What an amazing adventure! Today, our children were transported back in time to the fascinating world of the Stone Age. We built roaring fires and baked our own bread (which was absolutely delicious!). The children practised hunting skills with bows, arrows, and spears, and worked together to create shelters using only natural resources—just like real Stone Age people. For the ultimate challenge, we teamed up to move heavy stones using logs and rope, just as they did to build
