Year 5 STEM Workshops
The Year 5 girls had an inspiring day at Wolverhampton Girls’ School, where they immersed themselves in a range of hands‑on STEM workshops. Role Play in Nursery!
We had a fabulous time taking part in our ‘pop up role play visit’. We explored in the dinosaur area, posted parcels at the post office, practiced different hair styles on dolls, became vets for the day, put out fires at the fire station and looked after each other at the doctors. It was such a lovely experience for the children, and we really hope that they enjoyed it.

Year 5 and 6 STEM Challenge
Children in Years 5 and 6 took part in an inspiring, hands‑on STEM workshop led by aerospace experts from Safran. Throughout the day, children stepped into the role of real engineers, applying their knowledge of forces, design, problem‑solving and teamwork across a series of exciting challenges. Inspiring Futures: Our First Careers Fair!
Goldthorn Park hosted our first ever Career’s Fair for our Year 5 and 6 children. We had guests who represented different jobs and careers in school, to help our children understand how school skills connect to real life and to build curiosity and confidence about their future. World Book Day!
What a wonderful week we have had celebrating World Book Day across the school! The children looked amazing in their costumes inspired by famous people linked to the Little People, Big Dreams books. It was wonderful to see so many inspirational figures brought to life around school. Little People, Big Dreams at Grand Central!
As part of our World Book Day celebrations, a group of our Year 3 and 4 children joined lots of other schools at a fantastic event at Grand Central Station in Wolverhampton today. PCSO Visits Year 2
Our local Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) visited Year 2 to talk about stranger danger and recognising safer strangers. A Day of Light, Colour, and Joy: Our Diwali Celebration
Our school was filled with colour, music, and excitement as we celebrated Diwali – the Festival of Lights! Friday 13th June As part of our Day of Welcome children took part in a Live Author Event from their classrooms while dressed in colours of the rainbow! The authors shared stories about refugee migration – both locally and globally, past and present – helping children understand the experiences of refugees and fostering empathy.
